Rockies Basketball heads to DC to defend Title

Competing in the Diamond Division for Ultimate Bragging Rights

 

Rockies Basketball will once again head to the elite USJN/Nike National Tournament July 22-25, this year as the defending National Champion 2015.    In its 30th year,  this national tournament is acknowledged as the premier tournament of the year to compete in because of its longevity of attracting the best teams in the country and Canada to compete.  

"To attempt to repeat as the Champion of the elite Diamond Division will be tough, as the competition between 48 of the best teams in the country is fierce.  But, we are ready for the challenge," shares Johnnie Bratton, president and coach of Boulder Rockies Basketball.

The members of  Rockies 17U Black team competing this year will be Peyton Carter, Camilla Emsbo, Kira Emsbo, Emma List, Jasmine Jeffcoat,  Shelby Megyeri, Jade Odom, Bo Shaffer, Courtney Stanton and Chloe Welch. 

Bratton continues, "I am so proud to be associated with this talented group of girls.  They are a determined and hard-working and supportive team."

The 17U Black team games will be played at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center.  There will be 30 courts and over 300 teams competing in the entire tournament.
